In Memory of Mom

Comfort

Mother’s  are special, they have a unique ability to comfort and nurture us. I got a phone call from a Dr.’s assistant two days before Mom passed away. I assumed Mom had another few months to share with us. With a gut wrenching punch, I was told Mom had only days remaining. Ruth Ellen, my beautiful wife of 48 years, walked over to me and held me in her arms as I sobbed.

“She has led a beautiful life, No regrets.”  such comfort with a simple touch and a few well chosen words.

Unconditional Love

We only have one mother I heard a nurse say at Hamden Health care. In my opinion, these experts are wrong. Ruth Ellen, Jennifer, and Allison, and Cindy and Lizzie and Shirley, and Anna Bostwick and Hazel, Joanne, and Suzanne and all the rest of these special women who come into our lives and nurture us. Those of you who were touched by Polly learned how to Love Unconditionally.
